Please visit the Payment Method page in Your Account and review the payment method details currently on file. I have re-entered my Visa details, and they are definately correct.

If you ever receive a message from Netflix saying “Your account is on hold because of a problem with your last payment”, this could be owing to any one of the following reasons:
- ■ The method of payment on file is no longer valid or the card in use has expired
■ The payment information and records Netflix has on file does not match the information and records your bank has
■ There were insufficient funds in the account
1. Log in to Your Netflix Account
Enter www.netflix.com in your browser to log on. Logging into Netflix will first require you to enter your username or email address and your password.
2. Go to “Account” or “Your Account”
Go to the far right hand corner on the Netflix screen after logging in. Then look for a downward facing arrow, which will show a drop down menu once you click on the arrow. Then look for the “Account” or “Your Account” link. (Note that “Account” or “Your Account” wording may depend on which country you are in.) Click on any one of these two descriptions available in your country to access your Netflix account.
3. “Update Payment Information”
Once you are in your Account, go to “Membership and Billing” then look on the far right-hand side of the screen for the “Update Payment” link and click on it.
4. Enter Payment Information
A new screen will pop up, requesting that you re-enter your account information and enter your account holder details, card number, card expiry number and the security code on the debit or credit card you registered your Netflix account with. Alternatively, users may also enter new account information in these slots.
5. If Successful, Contact Your Financial Institution
If you are unsuccessful in step 4, whether by re-entering your account information or re-entering new account information, contact your financial institution. There may be a number of reasons or a security breach on your account and it is best to go through what the reason for the registered card not working and it is best to explore what these reasons may be with your financial institution.
Once you have thoroughly consulted your financial institution, try making the payment again on Netflix under your account in the steps above outlined ( see steps 1 to 3 ). If this still does not work, opt to enter another account (e.g. PayPal, iTunes, alternative bank account, etc.). Note that some alternative payment methods may not be available in some regions and countries.
You may see a small transaction on your account's online statement within a day or two of any pre-order purchase or update to your saved payment method.
These are temporary transactions we use to verify the payment information called pre-authorization charges. They’ll automatically refund within seven business days.

Split payments
If you have funds in your EA Wallet but they don’t cover your full order total, you can use another payment method to make your purchase.
Split payments don’t work on a couple of things in Origin. You can’t use them for:
- Origin Access subscriptions
- Pre-orders
Make sure to have enough in your EA Wallet to cover the full cost for Origin Access and pre-orders, or you’ll have to use a different payment method.
Opt-in to use your Turkish credit or debit card
If your card is issued by a Turkish bank, you may need to take an extra step before you can use it to buy games, items, or subscriptions.
The Banking Regulations and Supervision Agency (BRSA) in Turkey introduced a rule to protect cardholders from unauthorized online purchases. That means that cardholders have to opt in through their bank to be able to use their card(s) for buying goods or services online.
If you haven’t opted in, you may have trouble completing a purchase or renewing a subscription. You need to opt in if your card is issued through a Turkish bank or credit institution and:
- you want to buy games or downloadable content (DLC) through Origin.
- you have a recurring subscription to EA Access, Origin Access, or Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.
- you want to buy in-game currency (like FIFA points) through Origin, the Xbox Store, or the PlayStation®Store.
- you want to buy in-game items or currency for mobile games through Google Play, the iTunes Store or the Windows Store.
- you have Club Pogo membership that is set to auto-renew.
If you haven’t already been contacted by your card issuer, we recommend contacting them to ask how you can opt in to using your card for online purchases.
Follow their instructions and you should be able to use your card online as before.
We want to make sure that you’re the only one making purchases on your account. To do that, we’re bringing extra security to Origin for Visa and Mastercard®.
Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode® help protect your cards by adding an extra layer of security when you’re shopping online. If you turn these features on, you’ll have to enter in a PIN or password when you try to buy something.
This is great if you have kids that might accidentally try to buy something, or just in case anyone else ever tries to use your card. Both of these will help to protect your security.
Learn more about these features and how to sign up for them from Visa and Mastercard.
Think there may have been a fraudulent purchase on your account? Here's how to contact us about fraudulent charges.
You’ll see a charge on your credit card the day after placing your purchase. It will appear as Electronic Arts - Origin on your statement.
Any applicable sales taxes will be added to the price you see when placing your order.
There are other reasons why you might see a small additional charge associated with your Origin purchase. Some banks charge an international transaction fee, cross-border transaction fee, or currency exchange fee when processing transactions in a different country and/or currency. These fees do not come from us, and we are unable to help with them. Contact your bank or credit card provider to understand these charges.
Did you pre-order your game? Check out our article on pre-orders to see when you’ll be charged.
- Enter your card number as a continuous string of numbers, with no dashes or spaces.
- For card verification, enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your billing statement. If it doesn’t match exactly, your card provider may decline the purchase.
- If you use a card or PayPal, you can save your payment information on your account. If you use a different payment method, you’ll have to enter the information for it every time you buy something.
- Click Set as Primary to make one of your saved payment methods the default at checkout.
- Did your card details change? No problem! We use a credit card auto-update service with Mastercard® and Visa. If your card expires or gets re-issued, they’ll send us the updated information whenever possible*. You won’t have to worry if your card number or expiration date changes later on.
*Not all card providers are signed up for this service. You can still update your card details in your account to make sure your subscriptions don’t lapse and your pre-orders don’t fail.
This service is only available in the US, Canada, and the UK at this time.
- To update your saved payment info**, check out your Payment & Shipping settings here. You can also get there by clicking EA Account and Billing on origin.com or in the Origin client,or by clicking on your avatar then Account Settings on ea.com.
